Whatever we do, we break the status quo of the usual practice the achievement of success. We believe that in any organization that learns, strives for the best and believes in human there is enough strength for changing oneself on the inside to achieve sustainable prosperity without help consultants, without a failure of projects and a break in relations. So we profess SbA (Support by Action) as the best way to help people turn their work into such a place where they are happy.

Systems Oriented Design is a new version of systems thinking and systems practice that is developed from within design thinking and design practice. It is systems thinking and systems practice tailored by and for designers. It draws from designerly ways of dealing with super-complexity derived from supreme existing design practices as well as refers to established perspectives in modern systems thinking, especially Soft Systems Methodology, Critical Systems Thinking and Systems Architecting. Further on it is based on design skills like visual thinking and visualisation in processes and for communication purposes. Most central are the emerging techniques of GIGA-mapping. GIGA-mapping is super extensive mapping across multiple layers and scales, investigating relations between seemingly separated categories and so implementing boundary critique to the conception and framing of systems. In this paper we will present the concept of GIGA-mapping and systematize and exemplify its different variations. More>>

I have just finished reading a book: "Small Giants: Companies That Choose to Be Great Instead of Big" by Bo Burlingham. It was published in 2005 but I encountered it only this spring. It seems very important to me so below is my brief description of the book and its main idea. "Quietly and gradually … a new class of great companies has been forming …they have chosen not to focus on revenue growth or geographical expansion, pursuing instead other goals they consider more important than getting as big as possible, as fast as possible".

A world traveler who speaks ten languages, British linguist Richard Lewis decided he was qualified to plot the world's cultures on a chart. He did so while acknowledging the dangers of stereotypes. "Determining national characteristics is treading a minefield of inaccurate assessment and surprising exception," Lewis wrote. "There is, however, such a thing as a national norm." Many people think he nailed it, as his book "When Cultures Collide," now in its third edition, has sold more than one million copies since it was first published in 1996 and was called "an authoritative roadmap to navigating the world's economy," by the Wall Street Journal.

This interview with Laszlo Bock, senior vice president of people operations at Google, was conducted and condensed by Adam Bryant (New York Times). "In terms of leadership, success is very dependent on the context. What works at Google or G.E. or Goldman Sachs is not going to be the right answer for everyone. I don’t think you’ll ever replace human judgment and human inspiration and creativity because, at the end of the day, you need to be asking questions like, O.K., the system says this. Is this really what we want to do? Is that the right thing?".
